India’s top diplomat Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stressed the urgent need for open and honest conversations between India and Russia calling both nations trusted partners in an increasingly complicated world order.

India and Russia Must Talk Openly, Says Jaishankar
The world is getting more complicated by the day. India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar made that clear during high-level talks stressing that this very complexity makes frank dialogue between India and Russia more important than ever.”Complicated international conditions also demand open exchange of views especially between two trusted partners,” Jaishankar said during his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov Arrives in India for Diplomatic Talks
Lavrov touched down in New Delhi on May 13 marking a significant diplomatic visit between the two longtime allies. The two ministers sat down for direct talks a meeting that underscored just how much both sides value keeping communication lines open, even as global tensions run high.
A Partnership Built on Trust
The India-Russia relationship has long stood on a foundation of strategic trust.
Jaishankar’s remarks drive home a simple but powerful point when the global environment grows unpredictable, trusted bilateral partners need to speak candidly and clearly, without hesitation.
The visit comes at a time when international diplomacy is moving fast and both New Delhi and Moscow appear determined not to let the relationship drift.
