CM Yogi Reviews Grand Jamboree Preparations
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed high-level preparations. The review was for the 19th National Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides. The meeting took place on Monday. This major event will be held in Lucknow. The dates are November 23 to 29, 2025. The venue is Defence Expo Ground, Sector-15, Vrindavan Yojana. The CM said hosting this national event is a matter of pride. Uttar Pradesh is hosting it after 61 years. This opportunity will strengthen youth power. It highlights discipline, national service, and the ‘Self-Reliant India’ resolve.
The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to all officials. He stressed the event must reflect UP’s capability. This includes efficiency, organization, security, and hospitality. He directed comprehensive arrangements. Safety, traffic, sanitation, health, and lodging are key areas. Food and cultural programs also need full coordination. Arrangements should follow the Mahakumbh model. The 19th National Jamboree theme is important. It is ‘Self-Reliant-Indigenous India, Clean and Developed India, Green and Sustainable India’. This theme must be reflected at every level.
28-29 Thousand Scouts and Guides Expected
Officials briefed the meeting attendees. This event marks the Diamond Jubilee Grand Finale. It is for Bharat Scouts and Guides. Around 28,000 to 29,000 Scouts and Guides will attend. They will come from various Indian states. Around 1,000 to 2,000 international participants are expected. Approximately 5,000 volunteers and staff will also be involved. The venue covers about 300 acres. Its perimeter extends over 7 kilometers. Plans include 3,500 tents and 2,200 toilets. There will also be 1,700 bathrooms and 100 kitchens. Four central kitchens are also being arranged. Officials mentioned the main Arena Stadium. It is about 10 lakh square feet in area. It can seat 30,000 spectators. It will have 12 entry gates and 11 LED screens. Five German Hangar-equipped VVIP galleries are also under construction.
The Chief Minister noted the exhibition opportunity. Uttar Pradesh can showcase its traditions, culture, and innovations. He directed the setup of exhibition stalls at the Expo Ground. These will feature state-wise displays. There will also be a Global Village exhibit. Other displays include 75 Years of Scouting, Air Agniveer, ‘One District-One Product’, Solar, Robotics, Electronics, and Army exhibitions.
Leadership Skills Will Develop in Youth
The Chief Minister highlighted the event’s purpose. It will develop technical, social, and leadership skills in youth. An IT and Artificial Intelligence Hub is being established. Programs on digital learning, leadership, and innovation will be held there. He stated this initiative will mark a new chapter. It will contribute to Digital India and smart Scouting.
Hospital and Police Station Also Planned
Officials detailed the infrastructure plans. The venue will have a 100-bed hospital and 16 dispensaries. A police station, police post, and control room are planned. A fire station with 11 fire tenders will be available. Other facilities include an administrative office. There will also be an overseas cafeteria and a media center.
The Chief Minister mandated 24×7 CCTV surveillance. The entire venue complex must be covered. Night vision, face detection, and PTZ cameras will be installed. He stressed the need for active security. Emergency response systems must be functional always. Lighting arrangements should be very good. He also mentioned training for deployed personnel. Good conduct training is necessary. This ensures a pleasant stay for young participants. They are coming from India and abroad.
Two-Day Drone Show Scheduled
The meeting revealed a first-time event. A spectacular two-day drone show is planned. Hundreds of coordinated drones will be featured. They will tell a story in the sky. It will be about Scouting and youth empowerment. RFID-based smart ID cards will be used. These will manage participant entry and attendance. A WhatsApp-based communication system will provide real-time updates. Information will be available to all participants.
Officials confirmed various activities. Skill workshops, adventure, and amusement activities are scheduled. These include rappelling and wall climbing. Sky cycling, zip lining, and archery will be available. Shooting, zorbing balls, commando bridge, and plank bridge are also planned. This will promote physical and mental agility among Scouting participants.
