EU’s Eastern Flank Countries Hold Tight to Patriot Batteries

European nations sitting closest to Russia are pulling back from any idea of sending their Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine. Their military assessments are clear existing air defence assets fall short of covering national security needs. A European diplomat confirmed the shift in sentiment. Countries near Russia now see their own Patriot holdings as non-negotiable. Ukraine Turns to Spain and Greece But Washington Holds the Key

A senior official made the calculus plain. The US has the power to resolve this but is not using it. That inaction makes everything harder for every other partner trying to help Ukraine build a credible air shield.

Moscow Warns : Arms Flows Are Fuelling the Fire

Russia’s position on Western arms deliveries remains sharp and unambiguous. Moscow holds that weapons shipments to Ukraine obstruct any peace process, drag NATO members deeper into the conflict, and amount to dangerous brinkmanship.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has stated firmly that any cargo carrying weapons to Ukraine becomes a legitimate military target for Russia. The Kremlin has reinforced that line repeatedly flooding Ukraine with Western arms does nothing to bring talks closer.
