The Israel Defense Forces announced the death of a 20-year-old reserve soldier Sergeant Rotem Yanai during active combat operations in northern Israel. Two additional reservists suffered injuries in the same operation and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Israel Loses a Reservist in the North, Two More Soldiers Hospitalized After Combat
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Thursday the death of one of its reserve soldiers during ongoing military operations in the northern part of the country. Two other reservists were also hurt in the same incident one seriously, the other with moderate injuries.

A Young Sergeant Killed in Active Combat
The soldier killed was Sergeant Rotem Yanai, 20 years old a resident of Binyamina-Givat Ada and a member of the 435th Battalion. The IDF announced his death in an official statement published on the army’s website. He lost his life during combat in northern Israel.

Two More Soldiers Injured in the Same Operation
In a follow-up post on the army’s Telegram channel, the IDF confirmed that the same operation also left two reservists wounded. One reservist sustained serious injuries the other received wounds classified as moderate in severity. Both soldiers were transferred to hospital immediately after the incident.
