Trump Says Strikes on Iran Are Possible Before the November Congressional Elections

US President Donald Trump has not ruled out fresh military action against Iran before Americans vote in the November midterms.

US President Donald Trump has left the door open to renewed strikes on Iran before the congressional elections in November.

Trump Responds to Fox Question on Timing

Trump spoke in an interview with the Fox television channel. The host asked whether strikes on Iran could resume before the vote. “It is possible,” Trump said.

Earlier Report Pointed to a Later Date

The Wall Street Journal wrote earlier that Trump is getting ready to restart strikes on Iran. According to the newspaper, that step would come after the November midterm elections.

New Talks with Tehran Still on the Table

On September 27, Trump said he expects fresh talks with Iran this week.
