US President Donald Trump has promised the conflict with Iran will end soon. His remark came right after he teased unspecified “events” linked to the Islamic Republic.

Trump spoke earlier about the standoff with Iran. He said certain “events” would unfold very soon. He did not reveal any further details.

What Trump Said About Gas Prices

Trump linked the end of the conflict directly to fuel costs for Americans. He made the comment while speaking at the White House.

“As soon as the war ends, and that will happen soon, prices (on gasoline — ed.) will drop significantly because of the war with Iran,” Trump said in the White House.

Trump’s Earlier Remarks On Iran

This is not the first time Trump has signaled a breakthrough. Just two days earlier, on September 29, he said the Iran situation would resolve very soon. That statement also lacked specifics.

The fresh comments keep observers guessing about what exactly Washington has planned next. For now, the only certainty is Trump’s confidence that the conflict is nearing its close.
