Trump’s Surprise Move Catches Israel Off Guard
US President Donald Trump’s announcement about major progress in nuclear negotiations with Iran came as a complete shock to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu according to sources familiar with the situation. Netanyahu received zero advance notice before Trump went public with his deal declaration, leaving the Israeli leader blindsided at a critical diplomatic moment.
“Netanyahu was not warned in advance, and he was caught off guard when Trump posted his original statement about the deal (with Iran),” sources told Axios.

Trump Calls Off Iran Strikes : Announces Deal Details
On Thursday, Trump took to his Truth Social platform with a dramatic announcement. He stated he had personally called off planned air strikes against Iran strikes that were set to happen that very evening. He further declared he would soon announce the exact location and timing for a formal signing ceremony. Trump insisted all parties involved the United States, Israel, and other nations had agreed on the final terms of the deal.
Later, speaking directly to journalists, Trump said he believed Iran’s leadership had formally approved signing the agreement with the United States. The US President added that the signing could happen as early as the coming weekend somewhere in Europe.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Stays Silent on Deal Claims
Iran’s Foreign Ministry, however, did not confirm Trump’s upbeat claims. Officials in Tehran offered no statement backing the US President’s assertion that a deal was imminent or that its terms had been agreed upon.
