UAE Slaps Travel Ban on Three Countries

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs widely known as MoFA stepped in on Thursday, April 30, with a firm directive. It has officially barred Emirati nationals from travelling to Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq. The move directly responds to the fast-shifting situation across the region. This is not a soft advisory it is a hard ban, and the government is making clear it expects full compliance from its citizens.

Those Already There Must Leave Now

Beyond stopping future travel, the Ministry went a step further. It called on all UAE nationals currently present in Iran, Lebanon, or Iraq to cut short their stays and head back home without delay. The government’s message is unambiguous do not wait, and do not assume the situation will settle on its own.

Safety of Emiratis Is the Priority

The travel ban fits squarely into the UAE’s broader commitment to protecting its people wherever they are in the world. MoFA underscored with considerable emphasis that every instruction and advisory it puts out must be followed to the letter. The Ministry does not issue such sweeping bans lightly, and this one signals just how seriously the government views the current regional climate.

Emergency Helpline Activated for Nationals

For UAE nationals who find themselves in any of these three countries right now, the Ministry has set up a direct line of contact. Anyone needing assistance or guidance can reach Mofa at +971 800 44444. This emergency helpline forms a key part of the precautionary framework the government has put in place ensuring no Emirati is left without a channel to reach home authorities when things get difficult.
