Important Month for IndiGo

The month of December brings big news for the Indian stock market and IndiGo Airlines. The country’s largest carrier, InterGlobe Aviation, will join the BSE Sensex on December 22. This index tracks the top 30 companies. Consequently, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Limited is leaving the Sensex list. Media reports state that BSE Index Services Private Limited made this decision recently. This change is part of a periodic restructuring of the indexes. The changes become effective from Monday, December 22.

What Changes Are Happening?

Apart from IndiGo joining the 30-share BSE Sensex, there are other major updates. The committee decided to add IDFC First Bank Limited to the BSE 100 index. At the same time, Adani Green Energy Limited will exit that list. Additionally, Max Healthcare Institute Limited will now join the Sensex 50 index. However, IndusInd Bank has been removed from the Sensex 50.

Adjustments in Next 50 Index

Further changes include moving IndusInd Bank and IDFC First Bank to the BSE Sensex Next 50. On the other hand, Max Healthcare Institute and Adani Green Energy will leave this specific group. These shifts reflect the changing market value of these companies.
