The Oppo F31 series may come with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Oppo is preparing to introduce its F31 series in India next week. The company has officially revealed the launch date for its upcoming F-Series smartphones. Rumours indicate that three devices will debut — Oppo F31 5G, Oppo F31 Pro 5G, and Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G. Marketing materials label all three models as “Durable Champion,” hinting that durability will be a major selling point.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Oppo confirmed that the F31 series will go official in India on September 15 at 12pm IST. The series is expected to serve as a mid-range alternative, succeeding the Oppo F29 series, which launched in March earlier this year.
Reports suggest the Oppo F31 5G will start at under Rs. 20,000 in India. This pricing would make it more affordable than the previous generation, which had a starting price of Rs. 23,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. Meanwhile, the Oppo F31 Pro 5G and Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G could be priced below Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 35,000, respectively. The Pro variant’s pricing aligns with the Oppo F29 Pro 5G, which originally cost Rs. 29,999. The ‘Pro Plus’ edition is a new addition not seen in the previous F-series.
As for specifications, the Oppo F31 series is rumoured to offer IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, ensuring robust dust and water resistance. Each device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera could be a 32-megapixel shooter. Additionally, the series may come with a massive 7,000mAh battery, according to leaks.
Design-wise, the standard Oppo F31 5G seems to sport a square camera module with rounded edges positioned at the top-left corner of the rear panel. It is likely to launch in Blue, Green, and Red colour options. The Oppo F31 Pro 5G might feature a centred, squircle-shaped camera module and may be offered in Gold and Grey. The top-tier Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G is expected to have a circular, centred rear camera module, with colour options including Blue, Pink, and White.
Further official information about the Oppo F31 series is expected closer to the launch date in India.
