Samsung One UI 8 Rollout Schedule for Android 16-Based Update Leaked: Check Eligible Phones, Tablets, Watches

Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra could get an update to Android 16-based Samsung One UI 8 on September 18, according to a tipster.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup is expected to be among the first smartphones to receive the One UI 8 update based on Android 16. The company has been testing the Android 16-powered One UI 8 beta on multiple devices but has not yet launched a stable version for any. Although Samsung has not confirmed the official release schedule, a recent leak provides an idea of when users might expect the update. Select tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S10+, Tab S10 Ultra, and certain Galaxy Watch 6 series models, could also receive the new software soon. Meanwhile, newer foldable devices such as the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Tab S11 series already come preloaded with One UI 8.

Tipster Alfatürk on X revealed the rumored timeline for the Android 16-based One UI 8 rollout. Samsung may begin with the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra on September 18. The Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to follow on September 25.

Samsung Galaxy S Series One UI 8 Update Timeline

The Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 FE, and Galaxy S24 could join the rollout alongside the Galaxy S25 Edge on September 25. Devices including the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy S21 FE 5G may receive One UI 8 on October 2. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are expected to be updated on October 6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Series One UI 8 Update Timeline

Owners of Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip could get the update on October 2, with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 following on October 6. The 2024 foldable models, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, are likely to receive One UI 8 on October 13.

Samsung Galaxy A Series One UI 8 Update Timeline

Samsung may start updating the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G on September 25, making them the first A-series devices to get One UI 8. The Galaxy A55 5G is expected next on October 6, followed by the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A52S 5G on October 13. A wider rollout could begin on October 30, covering the Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy A35 5G, Galaxy A34 5G, Galaxy A33 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G. Other models such as Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy A25 5G, Galaxy A23 5G, Galaxy A15 5G, and Galaxy A06 are likely to get updates between October 2 and October 23.

Samsung Galaxy M Series One UI 8 Update Timeline

The Galaxy M34 5G may be among the first M-series devices to receive One UI 8 on October 20. The Galaxy M33 5G and Galaxy M15 5G are expected to follow on October 27, continuing Samsung’s gradual rollout across mid-range devices.

Samsung Galaxy XCover Series One UI 8 Update Timeline

Rugged phones including Galaxy XCover 7 and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro might get the update on October 23, while the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro may receive it later on November 10.

Samsung Galaxy Tab One UI 8 Update Timeline

Last year’s tablets, including Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10+ 5G, and Galaxy Tab S10+, could get the update starting October 1. Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, S10 FE 5G, S10 FE, and S10 FE+ 5G may follow on October 9. Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ are likely to be updated on October 13, with Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, S9, S9+, S8 Ultra, S8+, S8, and Tab S6 Lite expected on October 23. The Galaxy Tab Active 5 5G and Tab Active 5 could get it on October 16, the Tab A9 on November 5, and the Tab Active 5 Pro 5G may be last on November 7.

Samsung Galaxy Watch One UI 8 Watch Update Timeline

The One UI 8 Watch update may roll out starting October 1 for Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch 6, and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Older watches like Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, Watch 4, and Watch 4 Classic may get it on November 3.

The tipster emphasizes that this schedule applies to select regions, primarily in Asia, and may not cover all eligible devices. Samsung has confirmed that the stable One UI 8 rollout will begin soon, starting with flagship devices. Recent releases, including Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy Tab S11 series, already come with One UI 8 out of the box.
