Union Home Minister Amit Shah leveled serious charges against Congress. He spoke during the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Shah stated on Friday (October 31) that Congress did not give Sardar Patel due respect. The Home Minister mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said Modi completed Patel’s work by revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Amit Shah remarked, “The then Congress government did not give Sardar Saheb proper respect.” He added, “It took 41 years to award Sardar Saheb the Bharat Ratna.” “He was a great friend of the farmer,” Shah noted. “Narendra Modi also finished Sardar Saheb’s task of removing Article 370.”
‘British Played a Big Role in Dividing the Country’ – Amit Shah
Shah further stated that Sardar Patel unified all 562 princely states. He was the one who created an undivided India. The British divided India into 562 states after independence. Sardar Patel played a crucial role in forming India’s map post-independence. “Today is an important day for all of us,” Shah asserted. “We organize a ‘Run for Unity’ to honor Sardar Patel Saheb.”
Amit Shah also shared a heartfelt post on Patel’s birth anniversary. He wrote on X, “I salute the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. He is the symbol of national unity, integrity, and farmer empowerment.” “Sardar Saheb strengthened the country’s unity and security by integrating the princely states,” he continued. “He guided the nation towards self-employment and self-reliance. This was done by connecting farmers, the backward, and the deprived with cooperation.” “He firmly believed that the nation’s development hinges on farmer prosperity,” Shah concluded. “He dedicated his life to farmer welfare and protecting their rights.”
A ‘Run for Unity’ event was held in New Delhi on Sardar Patel’s Jayanti. The country celebrates his birthday as ‘National Unity Day’.
