PM Modi launches major development projects in Banswara

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation of several development initiatives in Banswara, Rajasthan. Addressing the gathering, he said that a new chapter of India’s strength in the power sector is being written from the land of Rajasthan. Modi added that the country is moving forward at lightning speed with electricity, and every region is being given equal priority.

Power generation is key to rapid growth

The Prime Minister stressed that electricity production is essential for development. He stated that India is taking its energy sector to new heights. According to him, any country aiming for fast progress in the 21st century must increase power generation. He added that nations leading in clean energy will be most successful. Modi emphasized that his government is turning the clean energy campaign into a people’s movement.

Before 2014, millions of homes had no power

PM Modi recalled that Congress ignored the importance of electricity and did not work for development. He said that before 2014, people suffered long hours without power supply. When he assumed responsibility in 2014, nearly 25 million homes lacked electricity connections. He shared that his government resolved to change this situation and succeeded in providing electricity to every village.

Congress turned Rajasthan into a hub of paper leaks

Highlighting governance failures, Modi said his government provided free electricity connections to 25 million households. He explained that wherever wires reached, electricity followed, improving lives and helping industries grow. He alleged that during Congress rule, Rajasthan became a center for paper leaks. Modi also accused Congress of allowing corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission, ignoring atrocities against women, and protecting criminals involved in sexual violence. He pointed out that illegal liquor trade and crime flourished in regions like Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh under Congress governments. Modi added that BJP strengthened law and order and accelerated development projects after coming to power.

Entire nation celebrates GST reforms

PM Modi noted that India is celebrating GST as a festival. He said that GST reforms benefited the people, making essential items cheaper. He reminded the audience that GST, introduced in 2017, freed the nation from the tangled web of taxes and tolls. He emphasized the importance of self-reliance, adding that the path to independence lies in the principle of “Swadeshi.” Modi urged citizens to never forget this principle and to always purchase goods made from Indian soil or produced domestically.
