Amid rumors of fuel shortage spreading panic among Buldhana residents, District Collector Dr. Pravinkumar Devre personally stepped into “action mode” making unannounced visits to petrol pumps across the district. He inspected fuel stocks, checked supply chains, and assured citizens that adequate fuel is available. Hoarders and those creating artificial shortages have been warned of severe legal consequences.

Collector Goes Into ‘Action Mode’ Over Fuel Shortage Rumors
Rumors of a fuel shortage had been swirling across the district and panic was spreading fast among residents. District Collector Dr. Pravinkumar Devre decided to act immediately. Without any prior notice, he personally visited multiple petrol pumps across Buldhana right in the middle of the day. He inspected available stocks of petrol and diesel on the spot. He also reviewed the entire supply chain firsthand. The administration took this step to ensure citizens face no trouble buying fuel.
Long Queues at Pumps Triggered the Surprise Inspection
Over the past few days, various rumors about fuel supply had gone viral on social media. Those rumors drove long queues of vehicle owners at several petrol pumps across the district. Noticing this alarming situation, Collector Dr. Devre visited key petrol pumps both inside the city and along major highways without giving any prior heads-up. He spoke directly with pump managers and staff on the ground. He also thoroughly checked the stock registers at each location. On top of that, he ordered staff to measure the exact fuel levels sitting inside underground storage tanks.
Collector Meets Oil Company Officials Confirms Adequate Supply
During the inspection, the Collector held direct talks with oil company representatives. He also met with district supply department officials. After those discussions, he confirmed sufficient fuel stock is available for the coming days. He made it very clear if any pump is found hoarding fuel or creating an artificial shortage, strict legal action will follow. License cancellation is also on the table for offenders. He further instructed police authorities to deploy round-the-clock security at pumps where crowd management or law-and-order issues arise.
Collector’s Direct Appeal to Citizens — Don’t Panic, Don’t Rush
“Adequate stocks of petrol and diesel are available in the district. Regular supply from oil companies is continuing smoothly. Citizens should not believe rumors and should not rush to petrol pumps unnecessarily. Buy fuel only as per your actual need. There will be no fuel shortage anywhere in the district,” said District Collector Dr. Pravinkumar Devre.
Police Deployed to Ensure Peaceful Fuel Access
Police arrangements have been put in place across the district so every citizen can access fuel peacefully and safely, without any disruption.
