LCB and Election Officials conducted a search at the office of Shinde’s former MLA, Shahaji Bapu Patil. Shahaji Bapu alleged the action was carried out at the behest of BJP leader Jaikumar Gore.

Major Setback for Shinde’s Shiv Sena
Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction has faced its most significant setback yet. Raids are currently targeting the residences and offices of leaders from the ruling Mahayuti ally, Shiv Sena. LCB (Local Crime Branch) and election officials arrived to conduct a search at the office of former MLA Shahaji Bapu Patil. This action comes right in the middle of the local body elections in Maharashtra.
Details of the Sangola Raid
The search operation took place at Shahaji Bapu Patil’s office in Sangola. The LCB and Election Commission team also recorded the entire procedure. This raid at Shahaji Bapu’s office has caused considerable unrest and political turmoil. Election officials also inspected the campaign office of MLA Babasaheb Deshmukh in Sangola. The swift action has drawn sharp criticism from the Shiv Sena party ranks.
Shinde Faction Leader Points Finger at BJP
Shahaji Bapu Patil leveled a serious accusation regarding the raid. He explicitly stated, “This action was carried out at the insistence of District Guardian Minister Jaikumar Gore and former MLA Deepak Aaba Salunkhe.” He further alleged that the BJP sees defeat in the Sangola Municipal Council election. “Their footing has slipped due to this realization,” he claimed. Shahaji Bapu directly accused them, saying, “This action is a direct result of their fear of losing.” The current political climate sees the Shiv Sena and BJP as uncomfortable allies.
