PM Modi to visit Andhra Pradesh on October 16 for temple darshan, take part in rally in Kurnool, and inaugurate a development project, with 300,000 people expected

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a one-day trip to Andhra Pradesh on October 16 to seek darshan at Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy’s shrine in the famed Srisailam temple in Nandyal district, and to attend a public rally in Kurnool, officials confirmed Saturday.
According to the schedule sent to the state secretariat in Amaravati, Modi is slated to arrive at Kurnool airport around 10:20 am via a special aircraft on October 16. From there, he will travel by road to Srisailam, reaching the Bhramaramba Guest House by about 11:10 am.
He will then head to the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple for prayers at approximately 11:45 am.
At 1:40 pm, the Prime Minister is to depart from Sunnipenta helipad and fly to Nannur helipad. Around 2:30 pm, he will lay the foundation stone for the Ragamayuri Green Hills project, a major development scheme located at Nannur on Kurnool’s outskirts.
Following that, the Prime Minister will join a roadshow along with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and then deliver a public speech until 4:00 pm, focusing on GST reforms, central government initiatives and future development plans for Andhra Pradesh.
“A gathering of around 3 lakh people from both Kurnool and Nandyal districts are expected for the meeting,” said BJP state president P. V. N. Madhav.
After the rally, Modi will return by road to the Nannur helipad, and from there fly back to Kurnool airport. He will depart for New Delhi at 4:40 pm.
District authorities and the Special Protection Group (SPG) are reportedly putting in place heavy security and logistics to ensure that the Prime Minister’s visit goes off smoothly.
