Prime Minister Narendra Modi stresses on buying indigenous goods during his address to the nation

Before the beginning of Navratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday evening and strongly emphasized the use of indigenous products. In his speech, he urged citizens to prefer goods made in India over foreign alternatives. He explained that knowingly or unknowingly, many foreign products have entered our daily lives, and it is now essential to part ways with them. He reminded people that the nation must adopt a habit of embracing swadeshi products to reduce dependence on imports.
During his address, PM Modi underlined the importance of purchasing indigenous goods. He said, “Today we do not even realize whether the comb in our pocket is Indian or foreign. Now we must free ourselves from foreign products. We should purchase what is Made in India and contains the hard work and sweat of our countrymen. Whatever we can produce within the nation should be made here itself. For this mission, we must dedicate our full energy and enthusiasm.” He added that Indian households must reflect the spirit of swadeshi.
Proudly Say, I Choose Swadeshi
The Prime Minister further stated, “Proudly say that I purchase swadeshi, I even sell swadeshi products. This should become the habit of every Indian.” He explained that once this mindset spreads, India will progress at a faster pace. He also appealed to state governments to accelerate production within their regions in alignment with the campaign of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the broader initiative of swadeshi. He highlighted that self-reliance in manufacturing will strengthen the country’s economy and generate more opportunities for its people.
Vision of a Developed India
In his national address, PM Modi urged state governments to create a favorable environment for investment. He emphasized that when the central and state governments work hand in hand, the dream of a developed India will soon become a reality. Concluding his speech, he extended his warm wishes to the citizens on the occasion of the savings festival and reiterated his appeal to support indigenous products wholeheartedly.
