During his Rae Bareli visit, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi faced protests from BJP minister Dinesh Singh, who demanded an apology over remarks against PM Modi’s mother. Gandhi countered by saying BJP leaders are disturbed by Congress’ growing popularity.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi strongly reacted to BJP minister Dinesh Singh’s protest during his visit to Rae Bareli. Gandhi said that the increasing popularity of Congress has left BJP leaders disturbed. He asserted that across the country BJP workers and office bearers are opposing Congress because they see their own party sinking rapidly.
Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day tour of Rae Bareli starting today. On the first day itself, BJP minister Dinesh Singh and his supporters staged an aggressive protest in front of Gandhi’s convoy. Singh and his followers raised “Go Back” slogans against him. Responding to this demonstration at his third program venue in Gora Bazaar, Gandhi gave a sharp rebuttal.
Gandhi’s participation in multiple programs
Addressing the gathering, Gandhi said, “The slogan of ‘Vote chor, gaddi chor’ is proving true across the country and we will continue to prove it again and again.” Congress leaders informed that during his visit, Gandhi will attend several events and review development projects as well.
Posters of Tejashwi, Rahul, and Akhilesh displayed
In Rae Bareli, posters featuring RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav have been put up. The posters describe them as “The final hope of India, the Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh of Kalyug.” State Congress President Ajay Rai said that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Rae Bareli has filled the party workers and people of Uttar Pradesh with new energy. He added that their leader Gandhi has completely exposed the theft of votes in the country and the entire nation feels proud of him.
Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled meetings
District Congress President Pankaj Tiwari informed that Rahul Gandhi will first hold a meeting with former party office bearers in Harchandpur. After that, he will interact with members of the Prajapati community at a city hotel before inaugurating the Ashoka Pillar in Gora Bazaar. Tiwari added that Gandhi will also meet booth-level workers and later inspect a park built under MGNREGA.
