Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold six rallies in Bihar between October 24 and November 7 to boost the BJP’s electoral prospects.

A Tribute to Jannayak Karpoori Thakur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his Bihar election campaign on October 24. He will first visit Karpoori Gram, said state BJP president Dilip Jaiswal on Sunday. Karpoori Gram is the birthplace of ex-chief minister Jannayak (people’s hero) Karpoori Thakur.

Thakur was posthumously given the Bharat Ratna in January 2024. Modi will pay his respects to the Jannayak there. He will then address his first rally in Samastipur’s Karpoori Gram on October 24. A second rally in Begusarai is also planned for the same day.

PM’s Intensive Campaign Schedule

Modi has six visits scheduled for the poll-bound state. These visits will take place between October 24 and November 7. Jaiswal shared the PM’s travel plans with reporters on Sunday.

“The PM will also address public rallies at Muzaffarpur and Chapra on October 30,” Jaiswal stated. He added, “The PM is also scheduled to visit the state on November 2, 3, 6 and 7.”

Locations for these later rallies remain undisclosed. Sources confirm the locations are finalized and sent to the PMO. However, final confirmation is still pending despite the PM’s slot being secured.

Senior Leaders and Star Campaigners

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to address about 25 public rallies. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will conduct almost the same number of rallies. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and other senior leaders will follow a similar schedule. A campaign roadmap is ready, according to an ANI report. The BJP named 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. This highlights their commitment to the high-stakes political fight.

The star campaigners list includes Modi and Shah. Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra), Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam), Mohan Yadav (Madhya Pradesh), and Rekha Gupta (Delhi) are also key faces.
