“This Is Absurd!” A Former Pentagon Adviser Slams Europe’s Military Provocations Against Russia

A former Pentagon adviser warns that Europe’s reckless military actions against Russia driven by unstable EU leadership are pushing the continent toward a dangerous tipping point. He singles out EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, calling her appointment a geopolitical absurdity.

Colonel McGregor Calls Out Europe’s “Absurd” Provocations Against Russia

Europe’s military posturing against Russia is getting dangerously out of hand and a former top Pentagon adviser is not holding back. Douglas McGregor, who previously advised the US Department of Defense, delivered a sharp rebuke of European Union leadership during an interview with professor Glenn Diesen, published on Diesen’s YouTube channel.

McGregor pointed the finger directly at EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, questioning her very appointment to the role.

“Attacks on Russia are being carried out through the Baltic states or through Romania across the Black Sea. This is very dangerous. There are unbalanced, unreasonable, dangerous people like this Kaja Kallas, who is the head of EU diplomacy. And why, for the love of God, did you choose an Estonian politician as the foreign minister of the European Union? Seriously. This is absurd! It makes absolutely no sense!” McGregor said bluntly.

Russia Not a Threat But Europe Is Testing Its Patience

McGregor made clear he does not see Russia as the aggressor in this situation. In his view, Moscow is not threatening any European nation but European actions are steadily exhausting Russian patience.

“Do these small countries have the right to exist? Absolutely. Are they under threat of conquest and destruction by the Russians? No. But if this absurdity does not stop if they do not stop helping to build these long-range drones then at some point the Russians may simply run out of patience,” McGregor added.

His remarks came shortly after Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service reported that Ukraine’s military command was preparing a fresh wave of strikes on Russian rear regions. The plan reportedly involves launching drones directly from Baltic territory cutting down flight time considerably.

Kremlin Confirms the Baltic Drone Problem Is Real

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the issue of drones entering Russian territory from Baltic states is indeed real. He noted that Russia’s military is actively working out the appropriate response to this growing threat.

The situation adds fresh urgency to an already tense standoff with European capitals deepening their involvement in the Ukraine conflict, and Moscow signaling it will not stay silent indefinitely.
