Protest Numbers Climb Across France

Nationwide protests in France have drawn 270,000 participants so far, not counting the capital, the French Interior Ministry says.

French broadcaster BFMTV shared the ministry’s figures, quoting officials as saying: “By 1:00 PM Local Time, 270,000 protesters, not counting Paris.”

What This Means for the Wider Movement

This nationwide protest count shows the scale of unrest spreading well beyond Paris itself. The French Interior Ministry’s figures suggest demonstrators have mobilized across multiple regions and cities. Numbers from Paris itself were not included in this nationwide protest tally, meaning the real total across the country is likely higher once the capital’s turnout gets added.
