Investment opportunities and defense collaboration were also discussed. Both sides agreed the time is right now. Pakistan and Bangladesh must elevate their economic partnership.
“Shared Cultural and Historical Bonds” – Chief Advisor
A statement from the Chief Advisor’s Office was released. General Mirza stated Pakistan and Bangladesh share historical and cultural bonds. He mentioned steps are being taken to increase connectivity. Mirza said a two-way shipping route is active between Karachi and Chattogram. Air service between Dhaka and Karachi might start soon, he added.
Discussions on Global Tensions and Fake News
The meeting also addressed ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Europe. Both sides stressed the urgent need to reduce tension and restore peace. Furthermore, they exchanged views on the spread of misinformation. They discussed how non-state actors destabilize regions.

Bangladesh’s National Security Advisor, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, was present. Senior Secretary Lamia Murshid also attended the meeting. Pakistan’s High Commissioner Imran Haider was among the officials.
