The US President voiced serious concern about the escalating Ebola crisis in Africa warning that the deadly virus may not stay contained to the region for long.

Ebola Outbreak Grips Central Africa
A deadly Ebola outbreak in central Africa has caught the attention of the highest levels of the American government. US President Donald Trump said publicly that he is deeply worried about the growing crisis especially after an American missionary working in the Democratic Republic of Congo tested positive for the virus.
The missionary was working with the faith-based organization Serge when the positive test came back. The news added fresh urgency to an already alarming public health situation spreading across the region.
Trump Speaks Out at Pharma Event
Trump addressed the issue while speaking at a pharmaceutical industry event the TrumpRx platform where he did not hold back his concern. He stated clearly:
“I am concerned about it Ebola really concerned… I think it is currently limited to Africa, but it could spread beyond there.”
His remarks signaled that the White House is watching the situation closely. The fear of international spread is now a live conversation at the top levels of the US government.
WHO Declares Global Health Emergency
The World Health Organization moved quickly to respond to the growing threat. On May 17, the WHO declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
That declaration is one of the highest-level alerts the global health body can issue. It activates an accelerated international response coordinating resources, surveillance, and containment efforts across borders.
