Washington’s Key Commitment Under the Preliminary Deal

Washington, as part of a preliminary understanding with Tehran, is bound to lift oil sanctions against Iran and do so for the entire duration of the peace negotiation process. No resumption of fighting has been reported since then but the United States moved to tighten pressure by imposing a naval blockade on Iranian ports.
