Flydubai will halt flights to and from Israel while authorities investigate the FZ1073 incident. Officials said the pause will continue until more details emerge.

Flydubai will suspend flights to and from Israel while investigators probe a recent incident involving a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
Airline Confirms The Suspension
The spokesperson explained the reasoning behind the decision. “In connection with the incident involving flight FZ1073 on September 30, and in coordination with the relevant authorities, flydubai is suspending flights to and from Israel pending an investigation.” He said this step follows coordination with relevant authorities after the September 30 incident on flight FZ1073.
He added that pausing flights gives officials room to keep working. Investigators can now establish every detail surrounding what actually happened.
Authorities Stay In Close Contact
The airline representative stressed ongoing cooperation with multiple agencies. “We maintain close contact with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and airport representatives; the decision to resume flights will be reviewed as further information becomes available.” He noted that resuming flights depends on fresh information as it comes in.
What Happened On Wednesday
A flydubai aircraft heading from Dubai to Tel Aviv sent out an emergency signal on Wednesday. The plane later made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
The airline later confirmed a physical altercation broke out between the two pilots mid flight. Reports subsequently emerged claiming one pilot stabbed the other with a knife. That pilot reportedly intended to crash the aircraft deliberately.
