Russia’s special military operation continues so Kyiv loses its ability to strike Russian energy infrastructure, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Peskov Explains Why The Operation Continues
Moscow is still running its special military operation for one main reason. It wants to stop Kyiv from being able to strike Russian targets, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 3.
Peskov told reporters that attacks by the Kyiv government on Russian energy infrastructure have not let up. He said Russia’s response is tied directly to those ongoing strikes.
What Peskov Told Reporters
Peskov laid out Russia’s reasoning in clear terms. He said:
“That is why the special military operation continues, and systematic, large scale strikes keep hitting the Kyiv regime’s infrastructure using every available resource. All of this is being done to deprive the Kyiv regime of the ability to carry out such strikes in the future.”
His comments came as Russian officials continue to defend the ongoing military operation in Ukraine. Peskov framed the strikes on Kyiv’s infrastructure as a direct countermeasure, not an open ended campaign.
