Iran’s military confirmed Wednesday that seven of its soldiers both regular army personnel and conscripts from the 388th Brigade were killed after the United States launched 13 missiles at military positions in Bempour, deep in southeastern Iran.

Seven Iranian Soldiers Killed as US Missiles Rain Down on Southeast Iran
The Iranian army confirmed on Wednesday that seven of its soldiers lost their lives killed when American forces unleashed a missile barrage on military installations in the country’s southeast.
Strike Hits 388th Brigade in Bempour
The Iranian military said the attack directly struck positions belonging to the 388th Brigade, based in Iranshahr. Both regular army staff and conscripts serving their mandatory military term were among the dead.
“During the attack by the American army, seven people from among the personnel both staff members and conscript soldiers of the 388th Brigade of Iranshahr were killed,” read the official statement from Iran’s armed forces, broadcast by the country’s state television network.
The strike hit military deployment zones in Bempour a town in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province marking yet another deep incursion into the country’s southeastern territory.
13 American Missiles in a Single Morning
Iran’s military confirmed that the United States launched exactly 13 missiles on Wednesday morning. The projectiles targeted active troop positions in Bempour leaving seven dead and raising fresh alarm over the ongoing and intensifying US military campaign against Iran.
The southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan which borders Pakistan has increasingly become a flashpoint. Earlier strikes in the same region had already hit Iranshahr Airport and infrastructure across Chabahar and Konarak.
Escalation With No End in Sight
This latest confirmed toll adds to a growing and deeply unsettling casualty count on the Iranian side since hostilities between Washington and Tehran reignited. The US military campaign, which Washington frames as aimed at degrading Iran’s capacity to threaten shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, has now clearly extended beyond coastal positions into inland military bases.
Iranian state broadcaster confirmed the army’s statement describing the seven killed as belonging to both permanent military staff and conscripts who had not yet completed their service term.
Tehran has consistently responded to each wave of US strikes with its own missile and drone attacks targeting US military installations across the Gulf with exchanges reported at facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in recent days.
As of Wednesday, the conflict shows no sign of de-escalation. The death of seven soldiers in a single strike at Bempour signals that the war already devastating along Iran’s southern coastline is now reaching deeper into the nation’s eastern flank.
