Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump came face-to-face Thursday inside the Great Hall of the People in Beijing a meeting that carried enormous weight for global diplomacy. The summit took place as part of Trump’s official state visit to China, scheduled from May 13 to 15. The talks stretched well beyond two hours, signaling the depth and breadth of the agenda both sides brought to the table.
