China and Russia are continuously deepening and expanding their education cooperation, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday. He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the China-Russia Cross Years of Education a landmark bilateral cultural and academic event.

“Over a long period, cooperation between China and Russia in the field of education has been steadily deepening and delivering tangible results,” Xi said. Student exchange between the two countries keeps growing in scale. University-to-university engagement keeps moving forward in a structured way. Coordination within research platforms and alliance mechanisms is getting stronger.
