Adani Green Energy closed FY26 on a high note, with net profit climbing 34% in the March quarter. The company added 5.1 GW of new renewable capacity during the year, reaching a total of 19.3 GW and cementing its place as India’s top clean energy producer.

Adani Green Energy wrapped up the last quarter of FY26 with an impressive financial performance. The renewable energy giant posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 514 crore for Q4 FY26. That’s a sharp 34% jump compared to the Rs 383 crore it earned in the same quarter last year.
Strong revenue growth backed by solid operations
Revenue from core business operations also moved upward in a big way. The company reported Q4 revenue of Rs 3,502 crore, up 14% from Rs 3,073 crore a year ago. This growth reflects steady demand for power and disciplined operational management across its renewable assets.
For the full financial year FY26, the numbers tell an even bigger story. Energy sales shot up 34% year-on-year, touching 37,567 million units. Revenue from power supply grew 22% to Rs 11,602 crore. EBITDA from power supply rose 23% to Rs 10,865 crore, with a best-in-class EBITDA margin of 91%. Cash profit for FY26 also climbed 11% to Rs 5,399 crore.
Adani Green adds record capacity, eyes global top spot
One of the standout achievements of FY26 was the sheer scale of capacity addition. Adani Green Energy’s operational capacity expanded 35% year-on-year to 19.3 GW. That makes it India’s largest renewable energy company by installed capacity.
During FY26, the company added 5.1 GW of fresh greenfield capacity. This is 1.5 times more than what it built in FY25. It also ranks as one of the highest annual capacity expansions anywhere in the world outside China.
Much of this growth came from large-scale projects in Gujarat’s Khavda region and Rajasthan. These locations offer rich renewable energy resources. The Khavda project, widely recognised as the world’s largest renewable energy plant, continues to lead this capacity drive.
Battery storage push sets the stage for the future
Adani Green Energy also made major strides in energy storage technology during FY26. The company installed 1,376 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) at a single location in Khavda. This ranks among the largest single-site BESS deployments globally. The company now targets over 10,000 MWh of BESS capacity by FY27, building a stronger and more resilient clean energy ecosystem.
Sagar Adani calls FY26 a landmark year
Executive Director Sagar Adani expressed pride in the company’s achievements. “The company, on the back of robust project and operational excellence, commissioned 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity, thereby reaching 19.3 GW of total operational capacity,” he noted.
He also highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability. “The continued recognition of our ESG efforts reaffirms our commitment to sustainable growth and accelerating India’s energy transition,” he added.
Powering millions of homes while cutting carbon
Adani Green Energy’s total operational portfolio now stands at 19,294 MW. This capacity powers over 8.7 million homes across India. It also helps avoid approximately 36 million tonnes of carbon emissions every year, making it a key pillar of India’s clean energy ambitions.
