Quarterly Earnings Skyrocket

Telecom major Bharti Airtel registered a massive surge in its consolidated net profit. The profit rose to ₹8,651 crore during the current financial year’s second quarter. This growth is mainly due to an increase in high-paying smartphone customers. Furthermore, growth in post-paid connections contributed significantly to the company’s profit boost.

The company had reported a net profit of ₹4,153.4 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, 2024-25. Bharti Airtel Africa also saw its net profit multiply during the quarter. The Africa operations’ profit reached ₹969 crore.

Official Statement on Performance

Airtel informed the stock exchange about its robust financial performance. The company’s operational revenue grew by 25.7% during the quarter, reaching ₹52,145 crore. This is a significant jump from ₹41,473.3 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. Bharti Airtel’s Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for mobile services also increased. It rose by almost 10% to ₹256 in the September quarter of the current fiscal. This ARPU was ₹233 in the year-ago period.

He stated, “We have delivered another quarter of solid performance.” Vittal added, “We have achieved a consolidated revenue of ₹52,145 crore on a quarterly basis. This result shows the strength of our portfolio.”

In rupee terms, Airtel Africa’s revenue increased by about 36% to ₹13,679.5 crore. Vittal noted, “The India mobile business achieved a revenue growth of 2.6%.
