Current Term Ending in 2027
Chandrasekaran is serving his second term as Chairman, set to end in 2027 when he turns 65.

Third Term Approved by Trustees
Tata Trusts have now sanctioned a third five-year term for Chandrasekaran as Tata Sons Chairman. He will be 70 when this term concludes in 2032.

Trusts Support Continuity in Strategy
Tata Trusts, which owns 66% of Tata Sons, have backed the move to maintain leadership in key strategic areas.

Extension Not Part of Recent Meeting
Sources told The BRICS Times that this extension was not discussed during Friday’s Tata Trusts meeting.

Chandrasekaran’s Journey
Chandrasekaran first joined the Tata Sons board in October 2016 and became Chairman in January 2017.
