Artificial Rain Trial Fails to Deliver Rain Even After Three Hours; AAP Cries ‘Fraud’

Delhi saw an artificial rain trial today. However, no rainfall has been reported across any part of the capital, even three hours later. Officials had claimed that rain would start within 15 minutes to 4 hours. Despite these assurances, the sky remains completely clear after the three-hour mark.

Cloud Seeding Trial Under Scrutiny

Multiple cloud seeding trials took place in Delhi this afternoon. The current trial by the city government is now facing severe questioning. Two hours passed without any actual rain. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized the government over this. AAP called it a “fraud” in the name of artificial rain.

No Rainfall Despite Official Claims

Officials asserted that rain could begin within 15 minutes to 4 hours after the cloud seeding. Yet, the sky appears totally clear three hours later. This contradicts the earlier hopeful claims.

AAP’s Strong Allegations

AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj questioned the trial via a video. He stated, “Rainfall also has fraud.” He further wrote, “There is no trace of artificial rain.” “They must have thought Lord Indra would bring the rain.” “The government will only show the expenditure.”

‘Lord Indra to Bring Rain, Government to Show Expenditure’

Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed, “Lord Indra is also not supporting the government.” “There was some slight rain yesterday evening.” “But now, even the few clouds that were visible have also vanished.”

Details of the Delhi Trial

Today marked a successful trial of cloud seeding in Delhi. This brings the total number of trials to three now. IIT Kanpur’s Cessna aircraft took off from Meerut for this purpose. It conducted the trial over areas like Khekra and Burari. North Karol Bagh, Mayur Vihar, Sadakpur, and Bhojpur were also included. Eight cloud seeding flares were released during this process. Pyro technology was utilized for this operation.

Minister Provides Cloud Seeding Information

Delhi Government Minister Manjinder Sirsa shared information on the process. He confirmed that eight flares were used. Each flare weighs 2.5 kg. It burns for about two to two and a half minutes. The entire process lasted for half an hour.

Rainfall Probability Remains Low

Light drizzle and rain were expected in outer Delhi areas after the trial. However, this relies heavily on moisture in the clouds. Currently, moisture levels are low. The estimated temperature is 3 degrees less than normal as per the weather department.
