The blacklist now includes Zair Husain Sayed, Zulfikar Rizvi Sayed, RN Ship Management, and Pune’s TR6 Petro India LLP

US Targets Indian Traders
The United States has penalized a petroleum trader based in India. They accuse this firm of trading oil illegally with Iran. The Trump administration sanctioned Indian groups selling Iranian oil. They claim this money aids Tehran’s regional terror proxies. Authorities say these funds buy weapons that are “a direct threat” to the U.S.
Shipping Networks Penalized
Departments of State and Treasury targeted shipping networks funding the Iranian regime. They also listed an airline supplying terror groups.
Individuals and Firms Listed
The Treasury Department added specific names to their restricted list. This includes Indian nationals Zair Husain Iqbal Husain Sayed and Zulfikar Hussain Rizvi Sayed. It also lists RN Ship Management Private Limited and TR6 Petro India LLP.
Illegal Transactions Exposed
US authorities added Pune’s TR6 Petro India LLP to a restricted list. This list holds 17 entities involved in illegal deals. Sputnik news agency reported this development recently.
Curbing Nuclear Revenue
These penalties aim to stop revenue Iran uses for its nuclear program. The US State Department confirmed this specific goal.
Deceptive Practices Used
The department said these groups helped Iran raise funds dishonestly. They moved Iranian oil using fake pretenses and deception.
Official State Statement
“Today, the Department of State is designating 17 entities, individuals, and vessels to stem the flow of revenue that the Iranian regime uses to advance its nuclear program, and to enable shipping facilitators in multiple jurisdictions who, through obfuscation and deception, load and transport Iranian oil for sale to buyers,” the US State Department said.
Specific Charges on TR6
Officials singled out TR6 Petro India LLP. It imported over $8 million of Iranian bitumen between October 2024 and June 2025. The State Department accused them of “knowingly” trading oil despite sanctions.
Sanctions vs Reality
The US wants Iran’s oil income at zero. However, reports show their crude exports to China reached record highs. This happened despite the administration’s intensified campaign.
