The BJP has officially named Samrat Choudhary as its legislature party leader in Bihar following the election victory. Vijay Kumar Sinha will serve as his deputy. The announcement sets the stage for the upcoming government formation.

On Wednesday, the Bihar BJP made a major decision regarding its leadership. Leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were elected to key posts. They are now the leader and deputy leader of the BJP legislature party in Bihar. Keshav Prasad Maurya confirmed these important appointments. He is the Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM and the party’s central observer. “I announce the names of Samrat Choudhary as the leader of the BJP legislature party and Vijay Kumar Sinha as the deputy leader,” Maurya said.
Gratitude and Acknowledgement
Observers congratulated both leaders immediately after the announcement. Following this, both leaders thanked the party leadership and the MLAs. They appreciated the trust placed in them again. “I thank the party leadership and all MLAs who have again given me a chance to lead the party. The BJP has expressed its faith in the BJP and the party will try to meet their expectations,” said Choudhary. Sinha also spoke to the press. “I express gratitude towards the PM, Union HM and the party’s National president,” said Sinha.
Focus on Development
Samrat Choudhary shared his vision for the future. He promised to focus on the state’s growth. “I thank the party for giving me such a big responsibility. We will work for the progress of Bihar,” Choudhary told reporters. Elsewhere, Nitish Kumar was elected leader of the Janata Dal (United) legislature party. This meeting took place at his residence in Patna.
Historic Ceremony Planned
Preparations are underway for a grand event. BJP leader Prem Kumar called the upcoming oath-taking ceremony “Historic”. It is scheduled for November 20. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend this gathering. Chief Ministers from several states are also expected. Alliance leaders are excited about this “historic oath-taking” event.
Landslide Election Victory
The NDA secured a massive win in the 2025 Bihar elections. They won 202 out of 243 seats. The Mahagathbandhan managed to secure only 35 seats. The BJP won 89 seats while the JD(U) won 85. The LJPRV won 19 seats. HAMS secured five seats and Rashtriya Lok Morcha won four. The opposition RJD won 25 seats while Congress won six.
