Top States Leading iPhone Sales
Recently, a report from Croma revealed the states where iPhones sell the most. Many might assume Delhi or Bengaluru tops the list, but that isn’t the case. According to the report, Maharashtra leads the country in iPhone sales.
Between September 2024 and August 2025, over 25% of all iPhones sold in India were purchased in Maharashtra alone. Following Maharashtra, Gujarat accounts for 11% of sales, while Delhi comes third with 10%. The report also highlights that Indian buyers prefer standard iPhone models over the costlier Pro variants. Nearly 86% of customers opted for the standard models.
Customer Preferences: Storage and Colors
The report further reveals that 128GB and 256GB models are in the highest demand, whereas 512GB and 1TB variants are less popular. Despite the launch of new and vibrant colors, Indian buyers still favor classic shades such as blue, black, and white. Another interesting insight from the report shows that one out of every five customers upgrades their old iPhone to a new model.
Clearly, Maharashtra continues to dominate the iPhone market in India, driven by strong demand for standard storage models and classic colors.
