During a special session in the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showered praise on U.S. President Donald Trump, announcing Israel’s highest civilian honor, the “Israel Prize”, and predicting a future Nobel Peace Prize for him.

Israel PM Praises Trump in Parliament
Amid the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised U.S. President Donald Trump in the Israeli Parliament and declared that Trump would receive the nation’s top civilian honor, the “Israel Prize.”
Lawmakers stood and applauded as Netanyahu made the announcement, marking Trump as the first non-Israeli to receive this award.
Trump: ‘A True Friend of Israel’
Addressing Parliament in Trump’s presence, Netanyahu called him Israel’s greatest ally in the White House.
He said, “I have never seen anyone change the world so decisively and rapidly as our friend Donald Trump.”
Netanyahu confirmed nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize and appreciated his efforts that ensured the release of remaining Israeli hostages.
Operation Midnight Hammer Commended
Praising the U.S. military’s rescue operation “Operation Midnight Hammer,” Netanyahu said, “It’s the perfect name because, just after midnight, you truly hammered our enemies.”
Peace and the Memory of October 7
Netanyahu told Trump, “Mr. President, together we will achieve peace. We did it once through the Abraham Accords, and we’ll do it again.”
He added that peace would arrive faster under Trump’s leadership than many imagine.
Emotionally recalling the October 7 attacks, he said, “Remember October 7 and never forget it. Those monsters took our children, but the courage and sacrifice of our heroes keep our nation alive and moving toward peace.”
Clashes Continue in Gaza Despite Ceasefire
According to Reuters, skirmishes continued in Gaza even after the ceasefire. Hamas fighters reportedly killed 32 gang members during a security operation in Gaza City. Six Hamas personnel also died in these clashes.
