After Doha, Is Israel’s Next Target Turkey? Understanding the Benjamin Factor in Arab Turmoil

After Israel’s strikes on Qatar, Arab nations are uniting. Israel has hinted at targeting Turkey next, raising fears of a NATO-Israel conflict. Despite U.S. support, Arab countries are rallying against Israel. The OIC’s 57 members could act collectively, sparking a massive confrontation and shifting alliances in the Middle East.

Arab Conflict Erupts After Israeli Strikes on Doha

With airstrikes on Qatar’s capital Doha, Israel has ignited a fresh crisis across the Arab world. Leaders from several Arab nations are rushing to Doha, showing solidarity and condemning the Israeli attack. Israel, however, has declared that it will “hunt down enemies anywhere in the world,” warning that no refuge will protect them. This aggressive stance has intensified fears of a wider war.

Reports Suggest Turkey Could Be Israel’s Next Target

Classified reports reveal that after Qatar, Israel may set its sights on Turkey, a NATO member. Analysts warn that Israel could strike Turkish cities like Istanbul or Ankara within days. Such a move could ignite a direct clash between NATO and Israel. If Turkey is attacked, the question arises—could the world witness a NATO versus Israel war?

Doha Trembles as Hamas Leaders Killed

On September 9 and 10, Israeli air raids shook Doha, killing top Hamas figures. Israel and Hamas issued conflicting claims, but one fact became clear: nations sheltering Hamas now face a sovereignty crisis. Israel has dismissed U.S. security guarantees to Arab allies, insisting Washington was informed in advance. This indicates, in Israel’s view, that America silently approved the operation. Despite billions in U.S. investments, Arab states now realize they are not shielded from Israeli action.

Broken Promises Fuel Arab Anger

For years, U.S.-aligned Arab countries believed they were under America’s protection. That belief collapsed when Qatar accused both Israel and Washington of breaking promises. In August, U.S. and Israeli officials assured Doha that Hamas bases would not be targeted. Yet, on September 9, Israeli strikes reduced Hamas-linked buildings to rubble. This has altered the balance of trust in the region.

Celebration in Israel, Condemnation Worldwide

Israeli media openly celebrated the strikes. Hosts of the talk show The Patriots popped champagne live on air to mark the attack. In contrast, global voices, including many Arab nations, denounced the strikes as violations of international law. Qatar received strong backing from UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, both of whom arrived in Doha. Jordan’s King is also expected to join, strengthening regional unity against Israel.

Netanyahu Issues Stern Warning

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a blunt message: “To every nation harboring terrorists, expel them or face justice. If you don’t, we will.” Supporting his stance, Israel’s Chief of Defense Staff, Eyal Zamir, warned that Israeli forces would eliminate all enemies hiding in Arab territories. These statements suggest Israel is preparing to expand military action, with Turkey seen as the next possible front.

Israel’s Military Blueprint for Turkey

Reports from the Middle East Forum claim Israel has already drafted blueprints for airstrikes on Turkish soil, specifically targeting Hamas bases. Analysts say it would be no surprise if Israel launched attacks within the next 100 hours. Hamas leaders, once viewing Qatar as a safe haven, now see Turkey as their fallback option due to its NATO membership. But Israel’s potential strike could trigger NATO’s Article 5, raising the possibility of a global standoff.

OIC’s 57 Nations Uniting Against Israel

According to the Middle East Forum, Israel may frame an attack on Turkey as an act of self-defense against “state-sponsored terrorism.” However, implementing NATO’s Article 5 could face resistance. The U.S., Sweden, and Finland might veto it, leaving Turkey without NATO protection. In such circumstances, Arab nations are recognizing that neither America’s ties nor NATO’s shield can guarantee their safety.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), comprising 57 member states, is preparing for united action against Israel. Discussions within the bloc suggest they could collectively declare jihad, transforming the conflict into a religious war. Some Arab states may even pivot towards Russia and China, reshaping the global power balance. This situation could spark a full-scale Arab super-conflict, with Israel potentially isolated and America drawn into direct confrontation.
