Israel’s military aircraft launched a sweeping wave of attacks across southern and eastern Lebanon hitting dozens of towns, sending drones after vehicles, and pounding border areas with heavy artillery fire.

Israeli Warplanes Hit Dozens of Lebanese Towns in One Day
Israel’s combat aircraft launched strikes on 41 towns and villages across southern and eastern Lebanon on Sunday marking one of the most intense single-day bombardments in recent weeks. A Lebanese field commander confirmed the scale of the assault, painting a grim picture of a country under relentless pressure from the skies.
“The enemy’s aircraft struck 40 settlements in the south and one settlement in the east of the country,” the field commander said.

Cities of Nabatieh and Tyre Bear the Brunt
Several towns were not hit once but multiple times throughout the course of the day. The cities of Nabatieh and Tyre took the heaviest blows, facing repeated waves of strikes that left both locations reeling. The concentrated nature of the attacks on these urban centres signals a deliberate escalation in targeting populated areas.
Artillery and Drones Join the Assault
Beyond airstrikes, the offensive spread further across the south. Around 18 villages near the Lebanese border faced intense artillery shelling throughout the day. On top of that strike drones hunted down vehicles and other means of transport across 13 separate Lebanese settlements. The combination of air, artillery, and drone attacks points to a coordinated, multi-pronged military operation.
