Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has once again issued a provocative statement. He claims the Taliban government in Afghanistan is operating under India’s influence.

Pakistan Cites “Two-Front War” Scenario
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif spoke on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He stated the country is currently facing a “two-front war” situation. India is trying to keep Pakistan engaged on both its eastern and western borders. This is an attempt to weaken its military and financial strength. This statement follows recent violent border skirmishes between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Both nations agreed to a temporary ceasefire. Qatar and Turkey facilitated the recent truce talks.
Serious Allegations of Indian Proxy War
Minister Asif leveled serious accusations directly against New Delhi. He claimed that India has long used Afghanistan for a “proxy war” against Pakistan. He alleged that India has launched attacks against Pakistan covertly.
This proxy war has been happening since the Ashraf Ghani government’s term. “Now we have solid evidence of this,” he asserted. “We will present the proof when the time is right.” He further claimed the current Taliban regime works under Indian influence. He dramatically stated, “The remote control for everything happening in Kabul is with Delhi.”
Recent Clashes and ‘Operation Sindoor’ Echoes
The recent cross-border firing between Pakistan and Afghanistan has severely strained relations. The ceasefire was reached during Istanbul talks. Turkey and Qatar mediated this agreement between both sides. However, the border tension remains significantly high. Khawaja Asif warned that India might take advantage of the situation.
He suggested New Delhi could execute a “dirty move” on the eastern border. He also confirmed that Pakistan is fully prepared for every challenge. His strong statement follows the earlier “Operation Sindoor.” In May 2025, India targeted terrorist bases in PoK and across the border. This was a response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack.
Deteriorating Relations with Afghanistan Explained
Ties between Islamabad and Kabul have worsened over the last few months. Pakistan accuses the Afghan border region of harboring TTP militants. These terrorists launch attacks across the border. Meanwhile, the Taliban government denies this allegation. They argue that Pakistan is blaming them for its own security policy failures.
