Former Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has revealed his current location through a letter. After his resignation, speculations suggested he had moved to Dubai or China. However, Oli clarified in his letter that he is staying in Shivpuri under the security of the Nepal Army.

Nepal has been witnessing tense and dramatic developments in recent days. Protests led by young citizens shook the political base within just two days. The growing unrest became so intense that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was eventually forced to step down from office. Soon after his resignation, rumors began spreading about his whereabouts. Some claimed Oli had flown to Dubai, while others speculated he was in China.
Putting all speculations to rest, KP Sharma Oli himself has now revealed the truth. He stated clearly that he has not gone to Dubai or China but is currently living in Shivpuri, surrounded by the protection of the Nepal Army. Oli made this disclosure through an open letter shared on Facebook, addressing the people, especially the youth. In his letter, he wrote that he feels safe among the soldiers and often thinks of children and young citizens even in this silence. He also mentioned that the innocent laughter and affection of children always inspires him.
Calls the Movement a Conspiracy
In the same letter, Oli expressed his personal pain. He wrote that during the struggle for regime change, the hardships of power kept him away from his own children. Yet his desire to be a father never faded. He reminded the public that in 1994, when he was serving as Home Minister, the government did not fire a single bullet during his tenure.
Oli dismissed the current movement as the true voice of the youth and instead described it as a deep conspiracy. According to him, incidents such as arson in government offices and the release of prisoners from jails cannot be called innocent protests. He warned that the democratic system earned through years of struggle and sacrifice is now under threat from those who wish to dismantle it.
Mentions Key Decisions
Calling himself stubborn by nature, Oli wrote that if he had not been determined, he would have given up long ago. He cited several decisions as proof of his persistence—such as implementing regulations on social media companies and firmly declaring Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura as parts of Nepal. He also pointed out that he strongly claimed Lord Ram’s birthplace was in Nepal, despite controversy.
Towards the end of his letter, Oli made his priorities clear. For him, the nation’s democratic system is far more valuable than any position or prestige. He emphasized that this system grants people the right to speak, move, and question, and protecting it remains the purpose of his life.
