Kuwait’s Air Defense Activates Against Rocket and Drone Assault
Kuwait’s air defense forces moved swiftly on Monday to repel a coordinated missile and drone attack on the country. The nation’s General Staff of the Army issued a public statement confirming the ongoing interception operation.
“Kuwait’s air defense systems are currently intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks. Any explosion sounds heard by residents are the result of air defense interceptions,” the General Staff stated, urging all citizens to follow safety protocols.

Explosions Heard Across Kuwait Military Reassures Public
Residents across Kuwait reported hearing loud blasts causing widespread alarm among the population. The military quickly moved to clarify the source of those sounds. Officials confirmed all such sounds came directly from interception activities not from successful enemy strikes hitting the ground. Authorities called on the public to remain calm and stay indoors.

Kuwait Had Earlier Detected Drone Activity
This latest development follows a prior incident Kuwait’s armed forces had already detected unmanned aerial vehicles in the country’s airspace on May 10th. Monday’s attack marks a significant escalation compared to that earlier detection.
