Operation Sindoor Did Not Involve Mediation: Pakistan Exposes Trump’s Claims, Expresses Willingness for Talks With India

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar issued a strong statement on talks with India, saying that Islamabad has made several attempts to engage, but New Delhi has never responded. Analysts believe that Pakistan’s worsening condition is linked to strained relations with India.

Pakistan Responds After Pahalgam Attack and Operation Sindoor

Several months after the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar broke his silence. He stated that Pakistan wants to engage in dialogue with India, but New Delhi has not given any response to repeated efforts. Dar made these remarks openly during a public event, signaling Pakistan’s position on the matter.

Trump’s Mediation Claims Denied

Ishaq Dar clarified that India never agreed to accept third-party mediation in its issues with Pakistan. He revealed that when Islamabad asked U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio about possible third-party involvement, Rubio refused. Despite this, former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed several times that he had mediated between the two countries. Dar’s statement effectively exposed Trump’s repeated claims of mediation.

Dialogue Seen as the Only Solution

The Pakistani Foreign Minister emphasized that talks are the only path to a solution. “We are ready for dialogue with India in whichever manner they prefer, but we will not beg for it,” Dar said. He also noted, “If any country wants to hold discussions, we welcome it because solutions emerge through dialogue.” Dar stressed that Pakistan considers itself a peace-loving nation and will not pressure India if it refuses to participate.

Trump Claimed Over 30 Times to Mediate

Following the ceasefire on May 10 between India and Pakistan, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that he played a major role in brokering peace. He asserted more than 30 times on different platforms that he helped end hostilities between the two neighbors. Trump also stated that if both nations stopped their conflict, the United States would expand trade relations with them.

India Consistently Rejected Trump’s Assertions

India firmly rejected Trump’s version of events every time he made such statements. According to India, the ceasefire was finalized only after direct talks between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both armies. Officials confirmed that Trump had no involvement whatsoever. Now, Ishaq Dar’s remarks have further confirmed that Trump’s claims had no basis.
