Diplomatic Efforts Continue
These attacks happened after US and Ukraine officials met in Geneva. They discussed a peace plan Sunday. Oleksandr Bevz told The Associated Press the talks had been “very constructive.” He said they discussed most points. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said they have not seen the updated plan yet. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll met Russian officials in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. A US official confirmed this to The Associated Press. Driscoll joined the team recently. He is now leading talks on a possible peace plan with Russia. The US official spoke anonymously. He noted that Ukrainians knew about this specific meeting. The official gave no timeline details. However, all sides want to stop the fighting as quickly as possible.
