Trump Predicts Quick End to Iran Standoff

President Donald Trump says the United States will soon put an end to its conflict with Iran.

He made the remark while speaking to voters in Iowa. Trump did not sound worried about how the conflict actually wraps up.

“We’re going to finish with Iran very soon, one way or another, I almost don’t care how exactly,” Trump told the crowd.

Trump Links Iran Conflict to Gas Prices

The US president also made a promise tied to everyday wallets. He said gasoline prices in America would fall sharply once the Iran conflict ends.

Voters in Iowa have been watching fuel costs closely this year. Trump’s comment appeared aimed directly at that concern.

Background on the US Iran Conflict

The United States and Israel began striking targets in Iran on February 28. Iran responded with its own strikes soon after.

By mid June, Tehran and Washington had signed a memorandum to halt hostilities. The truce did not hold for long.

Both sides later exchanged strikes again, reigniting tensions. The Iran conflict remains unresolved as of this report.
