President Trump says indirect US-Iran talks continue on the fate of enriched uranium buried under rubble from American strikes, and he’s not happy it’s still sitting there.

Talks Are Still Going, Trump Confirms
Washington is still holding indirect talks with Tehran over a stockpile of enriched uranium. That’s according to US President Donald Trump himself.
The uranium has been buried under debris since American military strikes hit Iranian nuclear sites. Trump addressed the issue directly in a new interview with the Financial Times.
Trump Admits He’s Unhappy With The Situation
Trump didn’t hide his frustration when discussing the buried material. He made clear this is an active topic on the table with Iran.
”Even though it (enriched uranium – Ed.) is buried under hundreds of tons of rock, I would say that I am not comfortable with it remaining there. That is why it is one of the issues we are discussing with them.”
Negotiations Remain Indirect For Now
Trump also clarified the nature of these talks. The discussions between Washington and Tehran over the uranium’s fate are happening indirectly, not face to face.
He kept his comments on the eventual outcome brief and noncommittal.
“Let’s see how all this ends.”
That one line sums up where things currently stand: nothing is settled yet, and both sides are still working through the details.
