Poland’s Tusk Warns Drone Crisis Over Baltic States Could Drag Europe Into War

Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk has issued a stark warning the growing wave of drone incidents over Baltic nations is pushing Europe dangerously close to open conflict.

Tusk Speaks Out on Baltic Drone Threat

Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk voiced deep alarm over the rising number of drone incidents above the Baltic states. He warned that this dangerous pattern makes the threat of war in Europe more real by the day. Speaking to Polsat News, Tusk did not mince his words.

“This war leads to hundreds of different interpretations whether it’s a Ukrainian drone or a Russian one. One thing is certain: this war makes the threat, when it comes to other borders, truly real,” he said.

Baltic States at Risk of Being Pulled Into Chaos

Tusk stressed that he had not been surprised by recent developments. For several days running, there have been growing signs that the Baltic nations could be dragged into chaos through no fault of their own. The Polish leader made clear he was not ready to look away.

“We would like to avoid the worst but I am not the kind of person who will close his eyes to reality and pretend nothing is happening,” Tusk added.

Drones Over Baltic Skies: A Pattern That Alarmed Moscow Too

Since late March, drones have repeatedly crossed into Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian airspace. The incidents have not gone unnoticed Moscow issued a formal warning to the Baltic countries.

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service reported on May 19 that Ukraine’s military command was preparing a fresh wave of drone strikes against Russian rear regions. According to the intelligence report, Ukraine plans to launch these drones from Baltic state territory cutting down the flight time significantly.
