Iran Rules Out Another Meeting in New York
Iran’s delegation does not plan another round of talks with American representatives in New York. The IRNA news agency reported this, citing a source. For now, the Iran US talks are not on the agenda.
Earlier Contact Came Through Qatar
On Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said its representatives had contacted the American side. The contact happened on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Qatar passed messages between the two sides last Tuesday.

What the Source Told the Agency
The source spoke plainly about the schedule. “There are no plans for a new round of talks with the American side on the agenda of Iranian representatives. The foreign minister will return home on Tuesday after finishing his scheduled program,” the source said. The source added that Iran is still waiting for a US reply. Tehran passed its proposals to the American side earlier.

Hormuz Plan and Trump’s Reaction
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had explained the offer earlier. Tehran sent Washington a seven day plan for opening the Strait of Hormuz through mediators. US President Donald Trump said he rejected the Iranian proposal. Araghchi spoke again in the early hours of Sunday. He said Iran still expects a final American answer from the mediators, despite Trump’s statement. The next step in the Iran US talks now depends on Washington’s reply.
