Putin Sends Message To Religious Forum In Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin has pointed to rising national intolerance around the globe. He also flagged a troubling decline in traditional values worldwide. The remarks appeared in a telegram sent to guests of the 12th International Forum “Religion and the World.” The message was published on the Kremlin’s official website.

Forum Brings Together Voices From Russia And Abroad

The Russian leader noted that the forum gathered participants from many different Russian regions. Delegates from several foreign countries also joined the Moscow gathering this year. Putin highlighted the event’s growing international reach and relevance.

Dialogue Between Faiths Called More Important Than Ever

In his telegram, Putin stressed why open dialogue matters so much right now. He wrote:

“Today, as humanity faces serious challenges including the rise of national intolerance and the erosion and devaluation of traditional values fostering a productive dialogue among representatives of different religions and cultures takes on particular significance”

The president added that meaningful gatherings like this forum help search for answers. These are the pressing questions that our current era demands, he suggested.

Unity Through Service Takes Center Stage

Putin expressed confidence about this year’s chosen theme for discussion. The theme, “Unity of Peoples in the Diversity of Service,” will likely spark real progress. He expects open discussions, panel talks and round tables to drive that forward.

The president also said that projects and initiatives proposed at the forum will matter. They should help build stronger understanding and trust between people everywhere. Putin added that these efforts would deepen international humanitarian cooperation overall.
