Russia’s Enteromix Cancer Vaccine Achieves 100% Success Rate in Clinical Trials

Enteromix, an innovative mRNA-based cancer vaccine developed in Russia, has shown complete efficacy and safety in trials. Awaiting approval from the Ministry of Health, it could soon be available for public use.

In a remarkable medical breakthrough that could redefine cancer treatment, Russian researchers have introduced a pioneering mRNA vaccine named Enteromix, which has achieved a 100 per cent success rate in clinical trials while maintaining a strong safety profile.

The vaccine, designed to precisely identify and eliminate cancer cells while shrinking even large tumors, is now in its final stage of review by the Ministry of Health before potential rollout for public availability, RT India reported.

Harnessing the same advanced mRNA platform used in Covid-19 vaccines, Enteromix functions by teaching the immune system to detect and attack malignant cells. Unlike conventional therapies such as chemotherapy or radiation, which often come with severe side effects and a one-size-fits-all approach, this vaccine is customized for individual patients, representing a more targeted and personalized method of combating cancer.

Trial participants experienced no serious adverse reactions, and the treatment was well tolerated, adding to the confidence in its safety profile.

Earlier announcements confirmed that clinical trials of Enteromix had begun in Russia with 48 volunteers. The vaccine was jointly created by the National Medical Research Radiological Centre of the Ministry of Health and the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology (EIMB) under the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

As reported by MedPath, Enteromix incorporates four safe viruses to attack tumor cells directly, while simultaneously strengthening the patient’s immune defenses to sustain the fight against cancer. The therapy underwent years of pre-clinical testing, consistently proving its ability to slow tumor progression and, in some cases, completely eradicate malignant growths.

The launch of its clinical testing was officially announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025), held from June 18 to 21 in northern Russia. Organized by the Roscongress Foundation under the office of the Russian President, the forum highlighted Russia’s advances in medicine and biotechnology on a global stage.

With the trial phase concluded successfully, the vaccine now awaits regulatory approval. The Ministry of Health is expected to examine the complete set of clinical data in the coming weeks.

If clearance is granted, Enteromix could soon become the world’s first personalized mRNA cancer vaccine available for widespread use, opening a new era in oncology and bringing renewed hope to millions of patients worldwide.
